Battery Performance makes keeping tabs on your Windows Phone look good
Much like screen protectors, we're not big users of battery apps. Or rather, we constitute that they were more than omphalus gazing than providing anything truly useful. That's because battery life on Windows Phone is pretty reliable, where nosotros often don't have to think about information technology.
Still, nosotros know these are popular with quite a few of y'all, so when Battery Performance came to our attention, nosotros figured we'd take a wait.
Bombardment Performance ($1.99) is admittedly one of the nicest looking battery apps for Windows Phone, at least from our limited exposure. It comes with most features nosotros would perceive as beingness important for keeping you enlightened of your telephone's status and it does so in an elegant way.
The chief features of Bombardment Functioning for Windows Phone 8 are
- Estimated Talk time
- Estimated Spider web surfing time
- Consumption rate (per 60 minutes)
- Alive tile (including double wide)
- Lockscreen: Detailed condition or Quick condition
- Graphs
- Notifications (battery low, battery charged)
- Scores from users around the globe for comparison
The design of the app is probably the biggest highlight. As yous can run across from the video tour to a higher place, the app presents fluid, elegant animations and an eye-catching Modernistic UI. While bombardment apps don't accept a reputation for being easy on the eyes, Battery Performance reminds of some other loftier quality independent apps on our Windows Phone.
The app, like other battery apps, takes a few days to fully calibrate earlier information technology starts to give you lot reliable estimates on functioning. And of course the Live Tile can only update every xxx minutes (a Windows Telephone Os limitation). One time information technology all kicks in though, the app is certainly a solid performer.
One of the more than unique abilities is Notifications, where you tin program the app to alarm you if your battery falls below a user-defined threshold eastward.g. 45%. As well, you can have it ping y'all when the battery is fully charged, with both notifications having an optional "night way" to avoid interruptions in the wee hours.
And no, from what nosotros can tell this does not consume whatsoever appreciable battery life, except for the half-hour ping to the Live Tile, which should exist negligible (though feel free to correct united states of america if nosotros're wrong; we oasis't seen whatsoever bombardment degradation though).
Because of all of that, we take to recommend that you give it a spin, as the app does accept a free trial. Indeed, that is probably the only downside of the app: the $1.99 price tag. While we did pay for it due to the loftier quality of work presented, we can't help but recall information technology's a smidge loftier. Still, with the complimentary trial, we'll leave it upward to you to decide if information technology is worth it. At the very least, it'south worth your consideration (the app is made by a unmarried indie developer).
